  1. I was wondering something similar about alligators. I was at a school where the teachers posted bio sheets, and one mentioned her pet alligator. And as I’m from Louisiana I know alligators grow about a foot a year, which quickly becomes not a manageable size for keeping a grouchy, toothy predator indoors, and they tend to eat small mammals who wander past, so I was wondering what people do with their alligator pets when they get large.

    1. According to the John Sayles’ script for the movie Alligator, pets are flushed and end in the sewers, where toxic chemicals turn them into huge monsters that eat their way up the social ladder, starting with a sewer worker and ending with the CEO of the company responsible for the toxic chemicals.
